• The spring/summer issue of Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler is in the shop. Lots of new fabrics have arrived and more bolts have been added to the half off rack to make room for them!   • Come in and check out Marge LaBenne's newest quilt designs. Marge has a series of four quilt classes that will take you through many different quilting techniques.   • Carolina Shop Hop will begin on Friday, July 11 and will run through Saturday, July 19, 2008. Shop Hop hours will be 10:00-6:00 Monday through Friday and 10:00-5:00 on Saturdays. There are 12 shop participating in the shop hop. We meet on the fourth Saturday (not always the last Saturday of the month) of every month for show and tell, idea exchange and new projects. Punch needle has also been added to the club.   • Would you like to have a night out to sew with no distractions? With other quilters? Join us for UFO Night held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Dates for UFO nights are found under classes.   • THE JANOME MACHINES ARE HERE!!!!! We are so excited to have these machines in the store. Janome is the world's largest manufacturer of sewing machines. WHAT MAKES JANOME MACHINES HIGH QUALITY? There are no plastic working parts on the machines. All gears and motors are metal only. Janome makes all of their own machines. No shipped-in parts. The feed dogs (fabric handling system) on the machines are the benchmark of the sewing industry. Full Rotary Magnetic hook system for bobbins allows jam-proof sewing (except for oscillating bobbin systems in economy models). Most machines have a seven-piece feed system.
